Here's my first submission: ASP.NET, MVC 3, the Razor View Engine and Google Maps[^] It's just a quick walk through, but it demonstrates some of the features of Razor and how to approach it. Feedback, suggestions and shin-kicks appreciated! ...well, maybe not the shin-kicks...

I'm not going to comment on the article forum because it may seem a little harsh there, but the article is lacking in some important details. For instance, what is the razor view engine? Why should I use it? What other view engines are there? Give the reader a bit of context to explain what problem is being solved here.

Self promotion of articles could attract a stream of 1s.

Not harsh at all, exactly what I was looking for. Thanks, Pete. Cheers.

I was looking at it a little differently, to be honest: the 'article' crowd isn't necessarily the 'Lounge' crowd. Over the last 7 months or so I've been posting fairly regularly here in the Lounge and, in doing so, have gotten to know some folks in this context. The random passers-by from the interwebs may comment - if they register - but how else would one solicit feedback from the group that frequents these forums? I place higher value on this group than the random public at large, in spite of how random and public the lot of you are ;) That said, I'll refrain from future links. Cheers.
