I dunno if I should believe it or not, in light of the other stories in the paper, but if it's true, it's no wonder the world is screwed. You should ask your cable operator to get "Al Manar" station, you'll find "Moms for Jihad" weekly show. They conduct interviews with mothers of suicide bombers, who praise their sons. The highlight is tips how to make your son a martyr. The opening is a video clip of a mother and her son before "action". Al-Jazeera is Bin-Laden only TV, get Al-Manar for balanced report on all terror networks:)

So why is the rest of the world so supportive of the Israelis if they are apparently doing such a barbaric thing? You would think if the whole Oil Conspiracy is true that America would be supporting the Palestinians to get favour with the oil producers, not supporting Israel. So convoluted I don't think anyone knows who they are supporting or why.

Thank you for that bit of sanity. We don't need to conquer any Arabic nation to have oil. The only thing they can do with it is sell it to us at market rates, which is far cheaper and much more certain than going to war to acquire it. What else are they going to do with it? Drink it? No, what i meant that is things are harder for muslims in my country because of recent press. Most of them, just go on with their lives as best as they can. I don't think (I hope) that any muslims in my country are stupid enough to do these acts
I just remembered this one story, where one muslim chap was so inspired by osama that he decided to go and join the jihad right away. The problem was, he went on a scooter and with 5 dollars in his wallet! Thankfully, he was caught right after he crossed the malaysian border. Makes you think about the IQ and the state of mid of these people, doesn't it!! Notorious SMC

Story today about the Bali bombings said they have identified the bombers, and had the following sentence. 'all the bombers are believed to be of the Islamic faith'. Well, duh. Isn't like, 99% of Bali of the Islamic faith ? Such statements are of no value, except to promote a 'them and us' mentality. I wondered if Bin Laden owns the paper.... On another front, apparently some father whose sons were killed in Israel/Palestine said that he was proud, he had raised his sons for Jihad. VB has always lacked even that... - Shog9 04-09-2002 Again, you can screw up a C/C++ program just as easily as a VB program. OK, maybe not as easily, but it's certainly doable. - Jamie Nordmeyer - 15-Nov-2002
'all the bombers are believed to be of the Islamic faith'. Well, duh. Isn't like, 99% of Bali of the Islamic faith ? Most of the balinese people are Hindu, so the remark is not so misplaced. And a non-muslim italian has been brought in jail immediatly after the bombing, so the remark seem to exclude him from the suspects. On another front, apparently some father whose sons were killed in Israel/Palestine said that he was proud, he had raised his sons for Jihad. I'm not surprised that the same happend in Japan for the "original" kamikazes. Fanatism and hate could lead to unnatural behaviours. -- Looking for a new screen-saver? I dunno if I should believe it or not, in light of the other stories in the paper Maybe it is a total propoganda of western media but as far as I know this whole martyr thing is very well looked upon by fathers, mothers, family and friends. From what I have read the families of kids who go off to blow themselves up are paid "martyr money." Their photos are published in respected Palestinian newspapers, banners put up of them and their "funerals" are generally celebrated as that of a "hero of the Palestinian cause." i.e. Fathers are proud if their son, or even daughter, goes and does damage to the Israelis. The more the kid kills the better. Also here in Cape Town many Muslims support the suicide bombings, saying they are doing the right thing and they should carry on until all Israelis are dead and pushed into the sea.

From what I have read the families of kids who go off to blow themselves up are paid "martyr money." And do you know who pays the martyr money? The Saudis and the Iraqis. http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2002/04/25/ED59865.DTL Have you heard about the martyr necklaces? Well, don't forget that they added a good dose of self-destructive behavior to the mix. It's always conveninent to blame "the system", but people are not passive objects who simply react, as if they are inanimate objects following the laws of physics. Afterall, we can find examples of good resistence. India was ruled by Muslims for 1000 years, and then by the British. By "the system" logic, there never would've been a Ghandi. Equally, Martin Luther King should've never existed in the US. That's not to say that "the system" doesn't push people one direction or another, but it's not the determining factor in anything. The Palestinians really are playing a role in forming this self-destructive culture. ------------------------------------------ "Isn't it funny how people say they'll never grow up to be their parents, then one day they look in the mirror and they're moving aircraft carriers into the Gulf region?" - The Onion # rm /bin/laden /bin/laden: Not found
