50 Degree heat, no hooch, tiny country with football grounds going to be only a few miles away from each other and not enough police to stop the fighting between supporters. Hmmmm.

Is the 50 Degree heat the winter temperatures? As I read once that they were thinking of moving it to the winter for Qatar because of the summer heat.

As barmey as a sack of badgers Dude, if I knew what I was doing in life, I'd be rich, retired, dating a supermodel and laughing at the rest of you from the sidelines.

...That a country so often seen with it's hands out begging for assistance can find $100Million to host the World Cup. Bangladesh[^] is very poor, and yet rather than spend this money on population control, education and flood defences it instead pisses it away on a competition in which it will only play in the group stage.

You can say it as an investment or bet in sports. They must be having higher expectations from game, sponsors and i don't know what all earnings.

And yet in all other Cricket Nations alcohol is seen as an obligatory part of the experience.

And soccer too! In fact at least in my town, it is like a competition at the end of the game, to go out of the stadium and compare how many piled glasses each person drank :)

I hope too. Gicen the natural conditions there (subject to high tides and cyclones) you need to invest in infrastructure.
