Why stupid people suck

Five as promised! :-D
Real men don't use instructions. They are only the manufacturers opinion on how to put the thing together. Digital man: "You are, in short, an idiot with the IQ of an ant and the intellectual capacity of a hose pipe."

Um, no. Why?

Depends on the system being used. Laptops are limited to 2 screens, and shoehorning a 2nd gpu into smaller cases can be a challenge. USB2 solutions are unfortunately bandwidth crippled, and I'm not aware of any USB3 gfx adapters. And even they did exist my work laptop/docking station don't support them. :(( :((

I was asked to spec a highend laptop for Sharepoint 2010 development. Due to extreme space constraints at the client site, using a secondary monitor will not be possible. So naturally I ask for 1920x1080 (or better) resolution. They* come back to me with a 1366x768 spec.... * Not even the retailer, one of our 'top' hardware guys...
Last time I made a spec (for our new workstations) I plastered it with links to manufacturer recommendations, which, in the end added up to quite a bit more than I would have demanded, had I not done the research. Better yet, my specs were accepted exactly like that, because IT couldn't give any valid reason against those specs. These babies are due shortly, but until they've run through IT (standard installations and stuff) I guess it's gonna be April. can't wait to get my grubby fingers on them! :) Maybe you should've dug up some good sites on ergonomy considerations to get a better screen resolution? I don't know SharePoint, but I guess taking photos (preferably with an anlog camera) at different screen resolutions might have helped.
