The French seem pretty keen to get stuck into Ghadaffi

[^] Well, the resuloutioln happened late yesterday evening Le Conseil de sécurité de l'ONU a voté jeudi 17 mars au soir en faveur d'un recours à la force contre les troupes du colonel Mouammar Kadhafi, ouvrant la voie à des frappes aériennes en Libye[^] Havent seen anything yet though.

They used to have a white flag, with gold trim and fleur de lys, prior to the revoloution. DOnt know how well that information will serve you, but there you go anyway! :)

ROFL And a whole bunch of weapons from WWII that still haven't been fired.
Where there's sacrifice, there's someone collecting the sacrificial offerings. Where there's service, there is someone being served. The man who speaks to you of sacrifice is speaking of slaves and masters, and intends to be the master. ~ Ayn Rand

Gadaffi says he is stopping killing civilians[^] - oops, says he is stopping the bombing to protect civilians. There will still be patrols.

ROFL During the French and Indian War, the French just happened to capture a British Major. An officer brought the Major to the French general for interrogation. The French general began ridiculing the Major for wearing "that stupid red tunic." The French general said, "Why do you wear that red uniform when it makes it easy for us to shoot you?" The British major replied, "If I do get wounded, the blood will not show, and my soldiers will not get scared." The French general said, "That is a very good idea." He turned to his orderly and said, "From now on all French officers will wear brown pants."

Ahhh, the shade around the arc de triumph. Gramps was so fond about that little detail. Not that it was particularily hot when they marched through. It might have been the chicks he was talking about. I was quite young when he went on with his elaborations on this, so I guess I'll never know now. :-D

First hits[^] Tornadoes are on the way, a few Harriers for ground roles and soon a few Typhoons for air to air. The rules of engagement allow strikes on Gadaffi's forces that threaten civilians - they don't have to wait for casualties.
