This will be ridiculous, I did manage to catch a few minutes of their Super Mario Bro. show titled Boobs and Goombas. Just tell your wife you are going out to enjoy live theater... SFW: http://www.gorillatango.com/chicago/auditions.htm Gorilla Tango Theatre is auditioning female performers for "A Nude Hope: A Star Wars Burlesque". We are seeking a cast of funny, entertaining women (dancers, singers, comedians, etc.) with strong movement backgrounds. No prior burlesque experience is required, however performers must be comfortable and confident with their bodies as revealing to pasties and possibly g-string is required. The show is a burlesque parody of Star Wars Episode 4 so knowledge of the original film is also a plus and impressions of the characters will be welcomed! Audition Date: Saturday May 7th and Sunday May 8th, 12PM - 2 PM and with callbacks Saturday May 14th from 12PM - 5PM Audition Location: Gorilla Tango Theatre 1919 N Milwaukee Ave Chicago, IL 60647 Equity/Non Equity: Non-Equity Pay: $20 per performance+ tips Type/Restrictions: Women of all different shapes, sizes and ethnicities are encouraged to audition; must be 21 and over to audition. Movement/dance training and good comedic timing are a plus. Time Commitment: 3-4 rehearsals per week starting June 1st. Shows run Saturdays at 9:30pm, July 9th - August 27th, 2011. Material to prepare: Come prepared to move (work out attire). If you can sing, bring one short pop/Broadway song to be performed acapella or with a cd you provide.
