RELIEF!!
-
OMG...relief! Had a proof of concept task that I just finished proving. Had never worked with MSMQ, but had heard of it in stories. Had never worked with WCF, but had heard of it in stories. Had (obviously) never worked with WCF's MSMQIntegrationBinding, and had never heard of it. Had never worked with MSDTC. Had not built a windows service in about 6 years. We now have a windows service hosting a WCF endpoint leveraging the MSMQIntegrationBinding that allows GenTran to communicate with our in-house system by sending an xml message to MSMQ that is picked up by our service, converted to a Business representation of an "Operations Signal", and logged into our system database. I just passed the task off to the Senior Architect to deploy to development so that the Integration Team can test out the messaging path. What.A.Relief! (Task was assigned to me last Wednesday)
"I need build Skynet. Plz send code"

It's amazing what you can do with a set of darts and pure guesswork, isn't it?
I wanna be a eunuchs developer! Pass me a bread knife!
