Climber discovers frozen body of friend[^] I thought this was interesting. I've never understood mountain climbing. A tall cliff is one thing...but Everest? I bet when you get to the top all you can see is clouds, assuming you haven't gone snow blind like this guys friend.

Because it's probably one of the hardest thing to do when you're into hiking/climbing. I think it's not the most "technical" climb that exists, but because of the height it makes it very difficult.

                      Watched code never compiles.

They leave the bodies where they fall on Everest. It is too dangerous to other climbers to bring the bodies back. As you climb the mountain, you will see dead bodies all along your climbing route, some of which have been there for many, many years.

Because it's probably one of the hardest thing to do when you're into hiking/climbing. I think it's not the most "technical" climb that exists, but because of the height it makes it very difficult.

That's what I mean...is it really a test of your strength and skills to see how long you can survive in an environment that is not fit for you to live in? It seems more like a contest of who can hold their breath longer and who loses the fewer toes in the cold.
