My recommendation would be fix the problems with this version and those that have been carried through countless previous versions.

It is funny that while I use Visual Studio daily, I don't really have any specific suggestion or feature request.

It's great that there is a way to give feedback about the IDE. Moreover, their development team will come to know about the needs and also may get great ideas from the users!

          They won't:

          Gates:
No. I'm saying: We don't do a new version to fix bugs. We don't. Not enough people would buy it. You can take a hundred people using Microsoft Word. Call them up and say "Would you buy a new version because of bugs?" You won't get a single person to say they'd buy a new version because of bugs. We'd never be able to sell a release on that basis.

Interview with FOCUS magazine, 1995. This attitude has not changed (and is not likely to).

All they did was take a little of the load off the bug reporting site. We only get 8 votes total? What a joke.

Exactly. That's why he's the richest man in the world because his bottom line is money. He's got Microsoft to the point that a majority of people can't do without it so he can give them pretty much what he wants. Sound like a crack dealer?

Oh, I would have some. How about a designer for WPF that uses the namespaces you tell it and not some it makes up and don't exist?

Here's another one that's rage inducing. When you open a solution on the getting started dialog you're left with a tooltip for the path that escapes visual studio and overlays everything on the monitor until the solution finishes loading.
