The unsubsidized 32GB iPhone 4S costs $750, but the 32GB iPod Touch (can't be subsidized) costs $300. So, you're paying $450 for a phone without any extra features? :wtf: Is it just me, or is Apple royally screwing us? :((

Would you pay $450 for a simple phone that can only make calls? And you can actually make calls from an iPod Touch over WiFi using Skype.

No, but I can imagine paying $450 for the convenience of not having to carry around TWO gadgets...

the new iPhone has better features than iPod touch, but no where near $450's worth, so yes, you're being screwed - "consumer" rhymes with "loser" ;)

Nish, do you know if there is a decent GPS app (tom tom) for the WP7, most of them seem to be for the fanboys only.

I haven't used any (or looked for one). I prefer to use a standard GPS device rather than use it through a phone. On the rare occasions that I did not have a GPS, I just used the phone's map software rather than try the phone's GPS software.

I may actually consider that. For one, I imagine it would be easier for me to develop apps on a WP7 phone. Do you happen to know if there is a WP7 phone with: email, video camera, Facebook, Bank of America app, Pandora, web browser, TODO list or notes, maps, 3G/wifi/bluetooth connectivity, a touch screen, and a US carrier with a decent data plan? I'd say those are my most used features.

All WP7 apps run across all WP7 devices. So you don't have to pick a specific phone model for using a specific app. I believe 720p HD video is a requirement for a device to support WP7. I have a Samsung Focus on AT&T. I haven't used other providers in years so I am not sure how good the others are, but I find AT&T rates to be decent and their service is alright too unless you drive into the deep country sides (you'll usually find yourself out of 3G coverage).

The unsubsidized 32GB iPhone 4S costs $750, but the 32GB iPod Touch (can't be subsidized) costs $300. So, you're paying $450 for a phone without any extra features? :wtf: Is it just me, or is Apple royally screwing us? :((

The iPhone has double RAM than the iPod Touch, has a digital compass and a GPS, Oleophobic screen coating, larger battery, a way better camera + LED. Plus the iPhone 4S is equipped with the new A5 chip, while the iPod touch has the A4 chip.

Sounds like you want a SPOF phone, not WP7.
