So what is bad about beer?
-
Oh, I thought it's just how I am, never imagined alcohol screwed me up, thought it was Mother Nature's fault. Should keep that in mind. Will raise a glass to your insight into my and average alcoholic's psyche next time I have some alcohol (next month most likely).

Way to try and wiggle out of it. I'll tell you all day long that drinking beer is bad for you but if you want to, that is your right. You have the right to destroy yourself. It is always interesting to see people reason there way into bad things and justify it just to make themselves not feel so guilty.

I agree that people in some countris have the right to express an opinion. Other than that your statement does nothing but attempt to prove it by denigration.

It is always interesting to see people attempt to rationalize their own beliefs based on their absolute conviction of the "TRUTH" of the belief. It is very seldom that I encounter anyone that understands that the view of the world is based on a vast subjective framework that often has nothing to do with any real objective data. And even when they think they have objective data they do not understand how likely that objective data itself is based on false premises and/or systematic errors.

Alcohol is a poison so just because you haven't noticed any direct negative impacts from it does not mean it is good.

Sigh...again you can DIE from drinking water. And do you know what that is commonly referred to? Water poisoning. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water_intoxication[^] So are you now going to run around telling everyone that they shouldn't drink water?

Sounds like you are saying there is no truth.
I am saying that I understand where "TRUTH" originates. Other than that feel free to prove that "truth" exists.

Yes, this is the root of where you go wrong. By your own definition truth is not what you say it is because I believe truth to be as the dictionary defines it. Truth is eternal, it is not subjective in any way. A simple example, 2+2=4. That is truth. Nothing you can do can change that. You will die someday. That is truth. There is nothing subjective about it. Subjectivity means opinion, not truth. Alcohol is poison = truth. Does it kill or do extreme damage in small amounts, maybe not always, but it is a poison, that is truth and there is nothing subjective about that.

I understand that you believe it do be different. That however doesn't make me wrong. Following is one definition of 'truth' and the entire statement makes the subjective nature clear. "a judgment, proposition, or idea that is true or accepted as true"

Sigh...and from that I would guess that you don't have an extensive background in mathematics. If you did you would understand that there are a number of ways to challenge that truth. One simple way is to start with challenging the definition of what '+' means. Another is to disallow or alter the definition of integer.

All sorts of subjective assumptions in that. One obvious glaring hole is the "maybe not always" part. Obviously it isn't even close to always. Certainly hundreds of millions of people drink quite alcohol frequently every day and yet they do not drop dead. On the other hand if the same number of people were drinking arsenic laced beverages then the death rate would be quite high.
