...why would one come to the great idea of mixing Languages? mouse actions using c++[^] http://www.codeproject.com/Messages/4187213/JavaAccessBridge-setTextContents-returns-false.aspx[^] how to execute a java script from a vb script[^] It's not like I want to rant about this. Is it now hip to mix it all up? Are those people only undecided or is it just because one language would be to easy? I don't get it. :wtf:

I would create an ASP.NET web page, under HTML, using C# or VB.NET as code behind, and which called Javascript. Where's the beef with that?

I can understand the frustration but are they really trying to mix programming languages? I think the language issue is actually with English. If you read it carefully, the way I understood it was that he has some sample code in Java but since his app is C++ he needs to know how to do it in C++.

VB.Net? You might get lynched in this forum. (Although it is easier.)

I think you may be able to argue that those are all complimentary (what a very good looking language you are) whereas mixing java with anything is not. :-)

All the more reason to do it in C#... :-D

I was told categorically on youtube that VB.net and C# are 'exactly the same' except that they read differently - sometimes it's just not worth arguing... :((
