The only real scary thing sofar are those partial sentences of yours. There might be some punctuation marks missing and even a word or two. I can't really see what you are trying to say here. Sorry! :sigh:

I think it comes down to that he hate's its looks, has no need for any of the new stuff and would like to keep some stuff they removed.

Iam I missing something? I thought 8 had the same UI as 7 (or nearly) but added the "ohhh shiney" playschool interface for those who want it. As for it on the phone, not sure a 7 UI would work on a 4inch screen

Did that also apply to Vista? Before I change my life (or something like that) I want to be sure that Windows 8 is not going to share Vista's success and popularity.

*No guarantee that the change will be any fun.

Without having tried it, it looks Windows 8 is Windows 7 + little stuff + a new touch-friendly desktop on top of the traditional desktop.

I can't really see understand what you are trying to say hereyour message on this thread.

Now: let's try another take on that: "An aspect of the content, in your post, which I personally experience as frightening, is: what appears to me to be the use of partial sentences. I believe there are punctuation marks missing, and, also, words omitted, which are essential to the sentences being complete. I subjectively experience an inability to interpret what you have written here, and infer from that personal, confusing, experience: that you are trying, but failing, to articulate whatever thoughts you wish to convey in writing this message.

Wikipedia comment on this: "On his homepage, Bjarne Stroustrup states that he did say the above sentence, but also adds 'I very much doubt that the sentiment is original.' "
