TFS Express was already going to be free. Main news here is Express for Desktop.

True. I believe TFS Express is artificially restricted from accepting VS2010 clients :( so adding desktop support to VS2011 makes it available to devs who want to build desktop apps and TFS. Hence my comment. /ravi

Perhaps, but by "Desktop" do they mean the real desktop we all know and love or is it the dreaded Metro Desktop of Sesame Street flat colours and tiled blocks for kiddies with no brains (i.e. Marketing people) to play with?
