Well, since he joined, some good people left, and were replaced by gin and pints drinking Englishmen. If this is not the beginning of the end...

Wow, so, if I wasn't laid off last fall, I'd be without a job today and missing a paycheck right now. It looks like I got a better severance package than everyone else (just 2 weeks) is getting now (minus 2 weeks). Any who, a lot of (just now) former employees are going to the media. I hope they tell some of the good stuff so I don't have to do it myself. Maybe I'm a curse? My company 2 jobs back laid off half the workforce a year after I left. My last employer collapsed within 8 months of my leaving. Should my current company be worried? Am I a company killer?

Couldn't you try to start working at adobe? Specifically at the department where they program the update system... We could be lucky...

Does sort of sound like it. Perhaps you should stick to comedy.

Just point out to your current employers what happens when you leave places, and suggest it might be best if they make sure you don't want to leave there.

Clearly it's because you alone do so much that without you companies cannot support themselves, having not realized you do the work of 100 men and only replacing you with 1.

[^] Wasendorf forged signatures and fabricated bank balances on the documents and simply mailed them back to the Chicago-based NFA, the person said. The scheme apparently began to unravel as the NFA shifted to electronic confirmations. The NFA "started getting suspicious. He was resisting this new way of confirming the balance," the source said. Wasendorf only recently signed the authorization, a decision that would quickly have led regulators to uncover the discrepancy. Note in my profile: "Back office, end of day reporting, NFA compliance." That was for them, they let me go in October.

They did pay nice bonuses though. Where'd the money go? Gold. Mostly in gold, the rest was squandered on strippers, hookers, hotels, jets, etc.

My boss said "Maybe, we're next!" His last job was at refco [^] which collapsed while he was there, he left and got 2 offers. One was for the place we currently work, the other was for the place I worked at, that collapsed this week.

When it's other peoples' money. The President was the type of guy to go to strip clubs and claim he "lost" thousands. Yes, he would say he "lost" a roll of money there.

Does sort of sound like it. Perhaps you should stick to comedy.

You what they say, a good comedian kills the audience. :-D

It was broke, so I fixed it.
