Toilet roll -> freezer. Need I say more?

Ideological Purity is no substitute for being able to stick your thumb down a pipe to stop the water

It took me thirty years to seriously associate "drinking lots of booze" with "feeling like cr@p the next morning" and actually stop doign teh former to prevent the latter so I wouldn't ask me if I was you!

I'm still working on that one. It would help if it happened consistently, or with consistent amounts of booze...

..and yet you'll read my reply. The OriginalGriff is kind of the trash reporter of The Lounge. There isn't anywhere he won't go. :-D

Bad plan. By the time it bothers you it's in your head. Gouging your eyes out doesn't cleanse the brain. You'll need an icepick and a surgeon's steady hand to really fix the problem.

Why on earth would I want a steady hand? If it came down to that, I would want to go see Dr Nick*.... :-D *Simpsons reference.

Is 20 minutes of pleasure worth an entire day of pain and suffering? ... ... ... Consensus: YES!

I have never understood how someone can call having your mouth on fire "pleasure". Pain is not "taste". A severe burning sensation in my mouth requiring me to gulp large glasses of ice water while I eat make no sense whatsoever. And then, like you said, there's the next day. Why would anyone eat like this???

If it's not broken, fix it until it is

33 years ago a Mexican cook decided to nuke me and since then it has gotten ... relative. People here always complain about the 'hot' food they get here and I notice almost nothing. Just a matter of getting used to it.

I had really, really hot Thai food today. Everytime I do that the very next day I'm promising myself I won't do that again. Why don't I learn?
