It's why they pay him the big bucks. No really, they are twice as big as legal tender. He can't cash it of course, but he can certainly appreciate it.

Fair enough - people often do post pirate books in the lounge, I apologise for making assumptions.

You'll come to recognise Raj. Whenever he writes a new book, he spams the lounge with it - no matter how many times he's told. I believe his account was deactivated a while back because of it.

Well thank you for your comments. I do still think telling fellow developers about a new book which you took years of effort should not be considered as spams.

Raj, Would you like me to delete this thread? Since CG modified your post, it now looks as if you actually posted a link to pirated books (which is not true). I'd suggest that if this thread is deleted, you can re-post the thread and specifically add that these are fully legal books provided by Microsoft.

          Regards, Nish

That's an unbelievably courteous gesture. BTW I did edit CG's comment out and clarified that the original link was legit.

Depends on how frequently you post here. If you were a regular here, people would accept that sort of thread. But if you only come here once in a while and suddenly post a thread about your book, people will react negatively to it.

No worries - again, I'm very sorry for my mistaken assumption. Lesson learned :-)

I understand what you mean. I realized that, i have not been so regular with cp last few years since i started writing. And by regular I mean posting regularly in the lounge. I do read articles and look at lounge regularly for new jokes :). Code project lounge is one of its kind. No comparison. I keep learning new things here, its just amazing. You cannot just leave if you are a developer.

Well, I've kinda felt that the average content level has gone down a bit, although that's not surprising for a site that's getting as much traffic as CP does.
