Go Lang

I was looking into the Go Language, and saw there was a few books out there on it. Every year before Christmas where I work, we can generate a wish list of materials and tools for the comming year. Currently I have about $600 (I got it cut down from $925 :-D ) in amazon books in my wish list, so before I add one more book to the list, a couple of questions: 1. Anyone from the .NET world have any experences useing this language? (how does it compare?) 2. Is this still an expermental language or are there people out there making and selling applications built with Go? (examples?) Go seams interesting, although it at first glance doesn't seem to have much to do with what I normally do (HMIs, hardware control and embedded devices), I normally work with .NET,embedded C, and Arduino C; so I'm looking to expand in some new directions, I'm just not sure if Go is worth while, from my already short ammount of free time.

But unless you have already mastered the top 50 that probably doesn't matter. Its most notable appearance was 2009 under the highest rise in a year. But that suggests it isn't sticking around.
