Isn't there something you can do about it? Drugs? Hypnotism? I'd go to the ends of the Earth to forget it, if I were Welsh. How about surgery? If your memory's too long, can't they chop a bit out and join the ends back together? But some things will never change: The Scots hate the English, the English hate the Welsh, the Welsh hate everybody, and the Irish hate each other. It's pretty clear that the UK was used as the template for the European Union.
