Hello! Chris (Maunder), you mentioned in Longue (http://www.codeproject.com/Lounge.asp?app=25&df=5&exp=0&forumid=1159&fr=26&main=/Lounge.asp&select=18544#xx18544xx) that you working on "CodeProject.NET", can you share any further details with us? (I'm just curious, so if it is too early to talk about this, or if you just can't bring competitors out of sleep, or if ..., then just disregard this question). Thanks, SlavoF "I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand." --Confucius

We've had .NET running on the servers for a couple of months now, but we haven't been taking advantage of this so we've decided to take the plunge and rewrite the entire site using .NET. This will allow us to integrate the systems better, give us more flexibility (and allow us to add more cool stuff), but most of all, faster forums (woohoo!). I've convinced Troy Marchand of Dundas that he doesn't really need sleep, so he'll be helping write some of the systems in his meager spare time. Obviously we'll be writing up the entire process, starting from the web farm and SQLServer cluster through to designing and building the pages. cheers, Chris Maunder

Yep - I will definitely write it up, but the initial upgrade we did was only an interim step. When we do it properly it will make for an interesting read (though most of it will be "we used Advanced Server and clicked on these options" :)) cheers, Chris Maunder
