If the post was helpful, please vote, eh! Quote worthy: I hereby claim this thread in the name of Drivel. Now and forever, defiant to the end. What is Multiple Sclerosis[^]? Food

QLF is also an unofficial amateur radio code. Q-signals[^] were once used far more than now, but hams still use some of them, and of course, have invented a few humorous ones. QLF? means "Are you sending Morse code using your left foot?" That basically implies that the person's sending is so bad that he's unintelligible. Just thought you might be interested in some trivia. Or not.

Holy! Walt, how goes your doctoral studies? Thanks for the trivia, I was not aware. Here (in Calgary, Alberta), its common slang for WTF (the QL part meaning "what is" or "what the") Is amateur radio still popular in this day and age?

Hi Mustafa, it's good to see you on here again. I'm on the downhill side of my PhD - passed all the exams and courses, now just need to finish and defend my dissertation. Hopefully I'll do that the end of this year, if not next spring. Yes, amateur radio has the highest number of licensees in history. I've been playing with it over the years and I'm also quite active these days when I have time.
