Please stop using GIFs in articles. They look like crap, especially if it's a screenshot of an XP-application (can you say dither?). And you shouldn't sponsor that crap company Unisys and their nazi licenses. There are other formats that can be used. PNG and JPEG works in most (if not all?) browsers. It's high time to bury GIF. R.I.P -- Ignorant people upsets me.

And while you're at it, how 'bout just taking screenshots of a (non-maximized) window instead of your entire desktop? Oh, and including an article with the screenshots is also nice. I'd ask for comments in the code too, but prolly shouldn't be greedy...

How on earth are you supposed to pronounce PNG? I say Ping, but is there an official pronounciation? Or is it doomed into two camps like we have with the jif/gif people?

When I say JPG I say J.P.G! I don't speak English when I talk filetypes to friends. That would be weird because I'm not an English spoken men, I'm a swede! :) Do see the point!? :) Rickard Andersson@Suza Computing C# and C++ programmer from SWEDEN! I pronounce JPEG as jiipegg (J as you would pronounce the letter J, and then peg). I've never heard anyone where I live pronounce it as J P G ;P Gotta be a "norrländsk" thing. ;) -- Ignorant people upsets me.

No wonder everyone became programmers instead of graphics designers :) Have a look at my article (below) for an example. Adaptive palleted GIF are the best for UI type screenshots. Heck look at all my articles!!! MyDUMeter: a .NET DUMeter clone

Hah! If you squint your eyes a little, (and zoom in using a nice image viewer) you can pickup discreet changes in color along the gradient direction. It aint perfect! Shame on you.... :-D -- Ignorant people upsets me.
