I, recently, was informed that digestive system of pandas is same as that of a bear. They are meant to eat meat but all they eat is bamboo. Interesting. There are insanely huge amounts of surprises universe has for us. /Back to learn why they don't eat meat.

Most bears are predominantly vegetarian, although Brown Bears will stuff loads of fish down their throats just before the hibernation. Black bears are mainly vegetarian but will eat small mammals and will happily raid bins. Spectacled bears are almost completely vegetarian, eating palms, bamboo and marmalade sandwiches. Sun Bears are predominantly eaters of Honey (and therefore a friend to psychotic tigers and depressed pigs), but are also massive consumers of ants and termites. It is only Ursus maritimus that is carnivorous and is one of the very few creatures that actively hunts humans.

And has what is believed to be the best sense of smell of any animal on the planet. Apparently, a bear’s sense of smell is so acute that they can detect animal carcases from a distance of 20 miles away. :omg: Oh, and they looooove toothpaste.

A very famous panda once could survive for months without eating, surviving on the dew of a single ginko leaf and the energy of the universe. Of course, he also loved his soupy noodles. And it is said, he could never touch his toes. [Bowing before this Panda]

OK, so what is correct according to you should be done by all. Do you know how much protein is contained in human foetus? Why not eat that?

That isn't very surprising, considering that giant pandas are bears. Most bears will eat just about anything, like dogs. Polar bears eat mostly meat and pandas eat mostly bamboo shoots, but most bears eat all kinds of things. Pandas will eat birds, frogs, etc. in addition to their staple bamboo, they're herbivores for the most part but they aren't vegetarians.

Yes, but unlike any other bear species, they prefer vegetarian. That, to me, is kind of interesting.

Yes, I agree of most of it. But if you look at panda's life term diet, it is kind of anti-bear.

I am very wary of drop bears and never loiter under gum trees.

I'll swap you a koala for stupid. Only eats a certain type of gum leaf and sleeps 20 hours a day because that food source is so low in nutrition. Some bears are really stupid.

.. and some bears are really bears, unlike the panda and koala
