I have the following installed on my local box: VS2012 Utlimate SQL Server Express 2012 TFS Express 2012 When I try to connect to TFS, it tells me the following: "TF400324: Team Foundation Services are not available form server 'server'. Unable to connect to the remote server." 0) IIS is up, the TFS web site is running, and after turning on directory browsing, I can browse to the site. 1) The TFS database stuff seems right 2) My user account is part of the TFS Administrators group I've tried to set this up half a dozen times, and have never been able to proceed beyond the message shown above. WTF am I doing wrong? EDIT ======================== Well, I tried installing TFS on my database server, and it works, probably because it's on another machine. Why doesn't TFS work when installed on my local box? As I typed this, I had a flash of a thought, and instead of using my actual machine name, maybe I should have used localhost. Hmmmm...

Is this an upgrade install of TFS from an older version? If so, I had to this[^].
