    Hi all. I would very much like to get into Android development but am mostly familiar with Visual Studio as that is the IDE we used at university. Is it possible to use Visual Studio to develop Android applications or should I go open source? If open source, which one is best? NetBeans?

        Go with Android studio. Now you have an Visual Studio Addin[^] for that.
