Does anyone know of a good (and cheap) web hosting company (preferably in the UK)? I have a domain name where I want to put bits and pieces including bits of code I write and stuff like that. I already have 50mb at hostroute.co.uk but I can't add an additional domain to my account (it hosts pnotepad.org). The only way they seem to know how to do it is via frames redirection - yuck!. I don't have particularly big space or bandwidth requirements, but I do want to be able to run Movable Type if I decide to move my blog from pnotepad.org to my new domain. This simply needs perl with the berkley DB module (and a couple of others). It would be sweet to also have PHP with MySQL but I'm not pushing my luck here. I can't afford another 70 quid a year for a personal web site. So, any suggestions? thanks, -- Simon Steele Programmers Notepad - http://www.pnotepad.org/

I use Valuehost http://www.valuehost.co.uk[^] Their basic package includes 500mb of space per server, PHP4, 3 X MySQL databases (up to 500mb), FTP access, online DNS control, up to six sub-servers on each server (so you can host up to 6 domains one your 500mb server. PLus they throw in a free domain name with every purchase last I checked. For full details check out their site.

I've just started using unitedhosting.co.uk[^] and have been really happy. Their support is great.
