I do not think a voltare meant tht a software site should publish political messages. In general i agree there ahould be a venue to vent them out. But not at a software site

There are two venues on this site: The Lounge (here) for general discussions, and The Soapbox for politics and religion. If you don't like the discussions or their content you are free to comment, or ignore them.

He was calling for boycott of Israel in his signature. Very political, completely inappropriate here and has nothing to do with coding from my point of view.

Cool! I'll have to boycott Israel in my sig, too! Or Syria. I'm allowed to boycott Syria, right? @rseholes who impinge on people's freedom of speech (whether I agree with their views or not) get short shrift, from me. The CP voting system was not instigated to be used for political means.

Meh. I've just grown blind to signatures, and carry on happily with my life. This is a coding site, and I'm not going to summarily dismiss someone whose political viewpoints I don't necessarily agree with. Certainly not when it wasn't even the point of the thread he started.

The followers of African religions don't complain about that, so their "Oh, it's not allowed!" is just an excuse for denying people's right to have opinions contrary to theirs. But the main point is that abusing the voting system in this way is harmful to CP, and their defence of it opens the door to even more trollish behaviour.

Your intention was not to be humorous; you did not post it as a joke, so it was abusive conduct. If you are abusive to me again, I will report it as abuse again. Denying other members the right to hold personal opinions is also abusive conduct. Putting an opinion in your sig no more breaks the rules than putting your web-site address in your sig. You know my intention? Nope, you're wrong. I responded to your post that there was nothing wrong with the sig by stating that the sig is in violation of the lounge rules (no politics.) Then, ironically, you respond with something about the old and new testament (a violation of rules since you're bringing in religion) which made no sense. It was nonsense. That's why I asked if you were high. Perhaps since English is not your native language I can see why you got offended but your response made no sense whatsoever.
