After using it for more in depth things, I've decided eclipse is just not good for real development. Even the video tutorial I did the guy was explaining why you have to restart when you use the hql window with hibernate. It always seems like some weird bug happens and after tracking it down you have to restart. I don't really care what the underyling problems are or the work arounds. The fact that it happens so often is enough for me. I'm going to be moving to intellij. I think I'm just spoiled by Visual Studio.

Yep, I hate Eclipse as well.... I'm doing mostly Linux dev now but I sure do miss VisualStudio sometimes.

I've been a great fan of eclipse for years, and it has only let me down once. A few days ago it crashed and lost the workspace, but fortunately not the projects, so I just had to recycle and refresh. Great for Java, Android, and in the past C++. Although I still hanker after the good old days of using emacs.

Atom is awesome. There is pretty much nothing it CAN'T do!

What do you get when you cross a joke with a rhetorical question? The metaphorical solid rear-end expulsions have impacted the metaphorical motorized bladed rotating air movement mechanism. Do questions with multiple question marks annoy you???

It's not Eclipse that's broken. It's all of Java. I've had it. Java just needs to stop. It needs to not be. It needs to go and meet its maker.
