Mike Gaskey wrote: I think that is scheduled in the future ( a day, maybe less ) although it is possible that is the vote that granted the overflight authority. I hope this vote won't happen. Not to stop the US of course, but because 94% of the people in Turkey don't want war when the turkish army wants it, a severe political crisis could result. Moreover, it would also solve the problem of turkish troops in iraqi Kurdistan.

Maybe we should just try to appease him, its worked well in the past. Maybe they won't hurt us. Seriously though, it better to do this now (seeing s how we were to dumb to finish in '91) before weapons might "migrate" into other hands. When we went there in '91 there was no reasonable doubt that it was the right thing but this, it disturbs me for many reasons. The word abbreviation is awfully long for what it means.

I might get in an automobile accident, thats a bigger "might", and the reason I wear a seat belt. It doesn't keep me from driving but I try to manage the risk. Sadaam Hussein has used WMD and still has them. Terrorists have actually been found to be investigating using chemical weapons (in Afghanistan). The idea that SH "might" use WMD (its already happened) or "might" give them to terrorists is to large of a "might" for someone who wishes to truly be free. If I was still young enough to re-enlist in the military, its something I could fight for. So yeah, its a big enough "might" for me. May I be picky again? Who grants the US the right to propaganda Iraq this way (it's already going on for days, if not weeks, mind you)? Imagine ANY country (be it Canada) to drop leaflets near an US Army base, recommending them to surrender.

Fat chance. Tyrants like him are usually clever enough to know that there's nowhere to give up if they leave - justice will catch them eventually if they do. He'll do anything he can to cause mass bloodshed rather than leave. :(( Anna :rose: Homepage | My life in tears
