That'll keep the compiler from doing unnecessary semantic checks which is completly a waste of time unless you're developing Kdevelop yourself.. :) You could also try building the code using paralellization tricks in make. On a uniprocessor machine, run make -j5. This'll make make run at most 5 paralell compilers.
