I'm a little scared about this election.

I am a senior in high school. About a week ago I went up to the school's library to work on an app I was doing. A few minutes later, another senior class came in. Their teacher wished for them to take an online quiz which would tell them where they were on the political spectrum. Now mind you, these people are 17 - 18 and will be able to vote this November. During their quiz, I became a little scared about the future. These people had know idea what the terms "pro-life" and "pro-choice" were. They did not have any idea what Planned Parenthood was, and could not make sense of questions about taxation. One question asked: "Do you believe that U.S. senators should have a set term limit", and a student told the teacher he did not understand the question. I do believe one of the few questions they did understand asked about the legalization of marijuana. It is not even the fact that they were so ignorant about these issues. I'm am worried because the were sitting right in front of a computer and did not bother to look any of it up. :omg:

Well, the good news is that if they're that uninterested in political considerations, they're not terribly likely to vote. This is a good thing. And this is the reason we have the "electoral college" - common folk weren't considered to be smart/educated/informed enough to cast a vote.
