Only time will tell. The real unity will come from the American people and not one individual. President-Elect Trump may be an absolute disaster, but for the first time in a long time, there is hope. President Obama promised hope and change and didn't deliver; we just became more divided. What we need to do is stop listening to all of the negativity and focus on what is right for our families and the country. It's about what we leave behind to our grand children and the generations that come after. The real miracle here is that those of us who felt we didn't have a voice now realize that we do. There is real hope now because of that fact and not just some politician making promises he/she can't keep. Keep in mind that what did happen was a majority of not just whites, but of all races, creeds, and religions coming together to support a break from the status quo. Anyone who says otherwise is either willfully blind or can't accept reality.
When you are dead, you won't even know that you are dead. It's a pain only felt by others. Same thing when you are stupid.
Considering the American people had the last eight years to do that very thing and refused, I find your faith a bit naive.

He won the Electoral College, not the popular vote... That means that the people didn't actually want him. Trump is right... The system is rigged :^)

The popular vote figures need to be taken with a huge grain of salt. In addition to the normal voting fraud, an especially large number of non-citizens voted. The Trump campaign may have attempted to minimize the fraud in swing states, but non-swing states would have no such measures.

If both choices would have had equal consequences, then yes, you would have been right. In this case, it might be beneficial for the world if the relation with other non-named countries would warm up. Another cold war would not stay very cool for long.

Dave KreskowiakMaybe so, but I have faith. I've lived the last 8 years watching the country fall deeper and deeper into the abyss. Today, I have hope that the descent is at least slowing. When people start growing up and learn that hurt feelings are not the end of the world and by communication and cooperation, the world as a whole will be much better off.

The vast amount of "voter fraud" happens at the hands of the political parties, not voters themselves, i.e.: gerrymandering, voter registration purges, voter Id laws, closing polling stations forcing people to travel considerable distance to vote, ... For example, only 14 people in the state of Texas were charged with actual "voter fraud" of some kind over the last four years. Only four of them were ever prosecuted.

Oh I agree with you, the US system doesn't make much sense to me too, it IS unbalanced and singular votes should be counted. On that I completely agree with you.

I'd argue that many major democracies in the world are unbalanced, due to first-past-the-post voting system. America's Electoral College is old and should be changed, if I might venture an outsider's unsolicited opinion. And in doing so, they should invent a new, modern system to avoid problems like first-past-the-post, gerrymandering and even problems found in parlamentary regimes (as happened in Spain not long ago with Mariano Rajoy).

There are plenty of third-world dictatorships where crime families like the Clintons act above the law, and stopping the process early is way easier than reversing it; I'm happy Americans succeeded before it went further. Hopefully, over the next four years, the Democratic party cleans up the worst of its crime and corruption and fields better candidates. And, please, if you're happy Trump won, avoid framing it as a loss for the liberal-leaning people in society. Some were actually Trump supporters (and even those who weren't benefit from his win, too).
I always wanted to know what was the mess that led to the formation of Panem. I think I got it now. :)

Crime Families? Why don't you have anything to say about Hump using his charitable foundation to bribe the Florida attorney General? To pay off legal fines imposed upon his properties? To cheat the victims of his "university"? To grope women with impunity? To not pay contractors, putting American workers out of business? Not bothering to pay employees when (yet another) of his casinos closes? Humps been a sleazy predatory/adulterer his entire life - yet you only seem to be able to point your finger at the Clintons. So - you perhaps should spend a while contemplating why you ignore the evidence of audio and video records and thousands of lawsuits and financial records - that are real.
