Weird, because from where I stand (as an INDEPENDENT) I've been labelled as a racist, sexist, islamaphobic, homophobic deplorable. Maybe if the left spend less time being intensely smug about their selective outrage and intellectual inconsistency, we can return to a situation where their ideas might be entertained by people that think with their heads. What do you think is going to happen when you treat thinking people like shit? We'll swallow the bitter pill rather than the poisonous one.

Well, are you? ;P But of course, you can't really answer that question. Nobody ever thinks any of those labels apply to them, only to other people. I'm sure even the most hardened KKK member will find a way to justify violence against non-white people that doesn't involve the term "racist". So without knowing exactly what you said, and seeing the context in which you said it, we have no way of knowing whether there was any truth to the accusations. But at least those labels are all for bad things. "Liberal Elite" / "libtard" seems to be the go-to insult thrown at people for caring about their fellow human beings. For having the audacity to think that all human beings should have equal rights (unless they do something particularly bad to forfeit them). I mean, it's not like anyone ever tried to found a nation on that principal, is it?

Bingo - and it's not that they're "liberal elite", it's that their opinion doesn't f*ckin matter in the United States. At all. In the least. Ever.

Which is fair enough, when you're talking about things that only affect the United States, and which don't involve human rights abuses. When you're talking about things that have a global impact, you can't expect the global community to remain silent. When you're talking about denying groups of people their human rights, you also can't expect us to just shut up and let you get on with it.

You're SO bent defending human rights that instead of writing on CP you're travelling far and wide in islamic countries defending the rights of the women to not having their genitalia mutilated, to choose their husbands in the age of consent... So according to you, nobody is allowed to comment on, or object to, human rights abuses unless they've travelled to every country where those abuses are taking place? Just because people in other countries are being pricks, that doesn't mean it's OK for your leader to do the same.

Absolutely, ricin oil and batons work miracles to make "smug leftists" reassess their priorities from politically correctness to actually defending human rights. BTW, it's liberals that from decades are pushing the idea that insulting is as much violence as as the physical one - given the huge amount of insults spat from the very same liberals to anyone who doesn't fully agree with them and applying the same logic... do the math. Also, the very same Benito "bungee-jumping" Amilcare Andrea started out as a liberal socialist and ended up censoring and beating... exactly like the new snowflake generation, which was grown up in a toxic concentration of politically correctness and lack of sensitivity towards real problems. I would think hard about how those words have become insults in the minds of so many. Seriously, the only people that see liberals as concerned about equality are other liberals. No one else does, because that's not how liberals act. The liberal approach (lately) seems to be to forgive and even encourage unconscionable violence and hatred in the name of being correct. I don't think it's hard to figure out what other groups fall in that bucket; you referenced one of them. Equality is an essential thing, but there is a difference between equality of circumstance and equality of result. Equality of circumstance is freedom, equality of result is slavery to the state. The liberal ideology ignores this distinction, and insists on everyone giving until we are all caught by the lowest common denominator, under the claim that it will raise that LCD. And it will, but this is where invention, innovation, and evolution go to die. Now the goal posts have move drastically over the last few years, and the primary problem with that is that those of the liberal bent cannot embrace victory, they continue to push the edge of the ideology further along the spectrum while keeping the bracket of inclusion the same size. You can't support some of the agenda and be embraced; you embrace the most radical ideas or you are not welcome. The ideas at this point include some concepts so mindbogglingly stupid that it is very easy to not be included in that bucket; and the language is tortured to the breaking point in attempts to justify policies that are callously used by the Democrat party(who clearly don't eat the shit they're shoveling) to mobilize targeted segments of the population. All the while the conservatives have not changed much, as is their nature. They also don't make much of an effort to hide it. Are they more worried about protecting their individual self-intere

I do, libs don't - in fact, at lest here in EU, they don't see the difference between shooting a bystander and shooting an invader. In Italy if I shoot defending myself in my home I get prosecuted for murder and have to pay the family of the deceased felon (or the felon if alive) for life... that's the core of this ideology. There is difference between blocking clandestine migrants and being xenophobic. Between punishing criminals and being oppressive. Between acknowledging differences and forcing the differences down the throats of everyone. But only the sane part of the population sees them, it seems.

I get where you're coming from man. Totally. But in all fairness, if people want people to listen, they too also have to listen. And unfortunately, that doesn't exist in politics. It's a bunch of people with zero experience running a country trying to pretend they're experts because they saw something on the news. And just insulting the other party, who obviously doesn't agree with them. Never mind the fact, 90% of the reason most people even think they way they do is because of their parents and have nothing to do with original thought, so it's just spitting out pre-cooked bias. The party system divides us. The news divides us. When will people see that. :^)

That's what happens when you fire everyone on day one and hire a bunch of people "with zero experience". To be clear, the current administration fired people that DID have experience. They were not politicians, they were people doing their job (in some cases for over a decade) and were fired because they didn't have the same ideology as the new administration. But I am sure it will all work out. I am sure nothing shady is going on when the ethics committee is removed from nomination process, no trail of investment is given, calls are made in secrecy to Russian, and nepotism is the only thing hiring people.

Computers have been intelligent for a long time now. It just so happens that the program writers are about as effective as a room full of monkeys trying to crank out a copy of Hamlet. The interesting thing about software is it can not reproduce, until it can.

Sorry but that is simply not true. Residents do have a say and if you don't respect people that live here just because they don't have citizenry you are asking for problems. It might be good to note that many companies are run, started by, and funded by non citizens residents. So when you run your mouth like that you are setting yourself up for a bad time. BTW, Trump's little ban blocked actual citizens as well. Seems more like a test run to me to see what kind of outcry occurs when he tramples rights and a way to get people pissed at those doing the public outcry. In the end, if the path continues if you don't fit the mold you can assume things won't work for you. Has nothing to do with citizenry or even being a gun toting drumpf loving bigot such as yourself. Anyone is expendable. Trump is in bed with some of the worst people and if you think you are safe cause your skin is whiter than other's you are one dumb POS.

It is not a human right to resided in the US just because you want to. We get to say who comes in just like the British do.

Re the OP: Canada is a free country; they have just as much right to criticize the President of the US as USians do. :-\
