    Not true. It takes an X chromosome and the presence of the SRY gene on the Y chromosome to induce a male. (Testis-determining factor - Wikipedia[^]) However, in females, in every cell one of the X chromosomes is discarded and made nonfunctional in a process called lyonization. X-inactivation - Wikipedia[^]
