What kind of spam protection are you using? I'm receiving tons of junk everyday, and I believe someone here should have a good solution for this. Please share your thoughts (and solutions).

Postal Mail :suss: On a serious note, I don't really, because I use a domain name that isn't widely used or popular, the only spam I get are random ones from sites i've visited and not clicked the "Don't send me...", or that someone has discoverend my domain and its now on the global "Spam this jerk" list.

I recently started using POPFile[^]. So far so good. But I'm eagerly waiting for the rest of the world to follow state Virginia and punish spammers with jail. I bought iHateSpam[^] after getting sick of waiting for SpamNET to release an Outlook Express version. It's doing pretty well. Of the 64 (!) spam messages I've have today, it blocked 45 of them without any intervention from me. I have been using MailWasher form fireturst for about a month and am satisfied with it. It does require intervention, you launch it, do a quick review of the headings with known span already highlighted, Press proccess and then it launches your mail program. http://www.firetrust.com/ It deletes the mail from the server and sends an account unknown message back to the sender. The amount of spam has dramatically decreased for me. If I could only put something on my work machine. To date I have not found an auto one that did not delete 20% fo my real mail. You might hate my answer, but I'm just extremely protective of my e-mail address. CodeProject and the DevelopMentor mailing lists are the only companies (that I remember) that have my true e-mail address. Family have it and its on my business cards. If I sign up for anything they get spammail@takklesoft.com and if I really expect/suspect to get added to spam lists they get my hotmail address. So far it works, since I've had the takklesoft.com domain my primary e-mail account has only received 3 pieces of spam; my spammail account has only received 2. Everything else in the spammail account is advertising newsletters from other (developer-oriented) companies. James "It is self repeating, of unknown pattern" Data - Star Trek: The Next Generation
