Trying to decide on a programming language

    What I like about Visual Studio is that you can design user interface forms for programs and they will run from the desktop. However I do find Delphi easier to use but it's not a compiled language and runs slower than some of the other programming languages. I considered Java as it was popular but I'm told it's difficult to create user interfaces for as a form. That leaves me with C++, C# and Visual Basic as part of the Visual Studio group. Which language (C++, C# or Visual Basic do you prefer and why? Brian

      C# is probably the best choice, given your Delphi knowledge. Take a look at .NET Book Zero by Charles Petzold[^] for an introducrtion, and any of the articles here on CodeProject.
