I am trying to use the Image Map tool to build a web page in VS2017 but CANNOT figure an easy way to find coordinates.

I am strangely attracted to the Image Map tool in VS but I cannot find a way to actually use it. Don't get me wrong. It works right out of the box just find except that I CANNOT figure out how to determine what the coordinates are on my image. Right now I can take a guess, draw a box or circle, see where it lands and adjust from there. I have tried several online image map coordinate finders but none of them, correspond with the Visual Studio design window. Am I missing something or did Microsoft just deploy and incomplete tool?

Maybe you're thinking of "hot spots": [ImageMap.HotSpots Property (System.Web.UI.WebControls) | Microsoft Docs](https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/api/system.web.ui.webcontrols.imagemap.hotspots?view=netframework-4.7.2)
