Way, waaaaaaay too much time. It only took two Elijah Wood photos and a kitten in a pink floral kimono to turn me into a gibbering wreck. Don't you have some ASP.NET to work on You know how I said last, last weekend? Well, you were stuck in a time loop it seems which means I meant this coming weekend. * Seriously though. Humble apologies. Server crashed, now Exchange 2000 won't work and I have slept on the office couch the last few days. While waiting for things to install and download and fix and spin I prop my spirits up with CP. I should be the 4201st email you recieve this evening.

Who's using it, and what are your thoughts on it? So far I like it. The photo thing is a total gimmick, but gives me a shameless plug area if I take something I particularly like :-O It looks good, and seems to work well. One thing I've noticed "Whoever is typing a message" has been replaced by "Whoever is writing a message". Think this has something to do with the fact MS anticipate that some lucky person out there might be writing on their tablet / PDA, whatever, while the rest of us are still using keyboards (which I always will - my handwriting is illegible) ? Oddities: Since I started using it even more of my contacts have started using it for announcements, incoherrant rantings (Jonny - is that Welsh?), wierd quotes, etc. Could the two be linked? :~ Also, my MSN profile is not mine - it belongs to one of my contacts. Now, as I've never actually looked at this before, I can't really say if MSN 6 introduced this problem, but I go there with no problems, don't get asked to sign into her profile, etc. Curious is it not?

I do like the photo feature, for instance if it wasn't for that I'd never have known Paul was really an attractive eighteen year old Russian model. Photo Wars? :-O

Different markets, apparently. Windows Messenger is meant for serious business people to use*. It is not as pretty and does not have all the cute little fisher price features of MSN MEssenger. MSN MEssenger, like MSN Browser, is flashy and pretty. It has a slew of useless features which 16 year olds are supposed to use. Surprisingly though MSN 6 BETA is damned good, even for serious use. The message limit is far bigger, it is more reliable and it fits in nicely with Windows XP (it does work on Windows XP.) I suspect though that the next Windows Messenger will come out and once again be better for business users. Of course, we could all just use email... * Never mind you cannot even send the briefest of thoughts without running into the stupid message limit

This is why those tablets with fold-under keyboards interest me so much. I can type quite quickly, but sketching with a mouse is horrible indeed. I've often wondered why digitizing tablets are not more common accessories for PCs...
