On one hand, I am very happy with my Youtube feed "(virtual) hand picked" by the Algorithm. I did help with my subscriptions I suppose, but it seems like a circumstantial that the Algorithm can do a good job. On the other hands, I swear the ads have become increasingly stupid lately. Why would the algorithm make such a poor job with ads?! :O EDIT, additional thoughts I am starting to wonder if the ads are bad on purpose. To edge me towards Youtube Red perhaps? mmm.... On the other hand they could also be bad because the advertisers are trying to conquer "new demographics". Good luck to them. Not. As Borat would say! ;P

All ads are dumbing down: I play a couple of Android games on my phone and all it seems to give me at the moment are Timex watch ads which are really stupid. Since Timex watches were always knows for their incredible accuracy (if only in determining when the warrantee had expired rather than as far as the time of day was concerned) I'm still surprised the company exists at all, but not so surprised that their adverts look like 1960s magazine ads photocopied onto a computer ...

I'm sure it tells you more about the aiming group. Which could be worrying. :-\
