Judgement is actually quite difficult. At what level is it decided that an article is not deemed worthy of surviving ? A guide need's to be published somewhere as to what creates a passable article. Regardz Colin J Davies

I have a couple of articles sitting on my HD, waiting for the "Worst Author in CodeProject" award, but what is the point if there is not even a page to show that proves it ;) eperales

I totally agree with Ernesto. He does not have to have any articles in order to criticize any article on this site. Some articles does not belong to this site. Especially some articles are just meant to annoy people and break such a great web site. Some sort of filtering should start being done. I know that the site admins have enough to do. May be, some people can do it voluntarily. For example, about 100 people can be choosen to be moderators for Unedited Reader Contributions part. If more than lets say 2 of them approves, then the article will be posted on the site. If you guys would like to do something like that, I would be very glad to participate... The problem with something like that is it becomes very subjective, which in and of itself would not be deemed fair. People would get upset simply because some moderator didn't like the material they put together regardless of the actual quality. All articles can be voted on and messages can be left in the articles message board. -Nick Parker

In the last few years, there has become an attitude that articles at CP must be very professional. I don't think CP has ever marketed itself as having top quality articles. (although quality is nice) More CP was a place where anyone could ask a quaestion or post an article. I guess that with almost 1/2 a million subscribers CP is expected to only have quality articles now. Regardz Colin J Davies

What an honor to be quoted! :-O But let's give back to Cesar what is Cesar’s due, the quotation "If a jug falls upon a stone, woe to the jug. If a stone falls upon a jug, woe to the jug. Always woe to the jug"." comes from the Talmud Kant wrote: This signature was created by "Code Project Quoter". A great idea and a good article! :)

LOL! Yeah, there's a few here that expect production quality articles - not at all what my impression of what the purpose of CP is meant to be. My first (and only) article was pretty bad, even by my own low standards, but what the heck. It even has a bug in it that I have no intention of fixing, having lost interest in the subject. But it did a job that I needed done and just might be of help to someone with a similar problem. That's all I seek when I check the articles - some clues to get me started, not a ready-to-deliver solution.
