Well, I just won another competion for best article of july.:-D However I won the previous competion for the best VS.NET addin with the same article . I am just thinking about the ethical implications. I strongly believe that my article was not the best one in both competions however it was the most voted. Because it would sound a bit too hash from my fellow CPians, i would like to raise the following considerations: Is it fair for an article to receive more than one prize  ? However it could win more than one competition but maybe prizes from the second winning should go to the 2nd place (think & Consider!):~ Cheers ES

I won two monthly comps a while ago and I just asked Chris to give the prizes I already had (which was 3 of the 5 products) to 2nd place. --Mike-- Ericahist | Homepage | RightClick-Encrypt | 1ClickPicGrabber Latest art~!@#2rDFA#@(#*%$Rfa39f3fqwf--= NO CARRIER

Now I have to wait for that Paul Watson guy to overtake me, except that he simply insists on going to greece all the time and waking up with beautiful blonde women, and then blames it all on his moving to ASP.NET from ASP! I had an article (Desktop Bob) that won on two categories on the first compo and Chris wisely gave the prizes on one of them to Derek Lakin (actually, now the competition ended, I can say - his article was good!).

Since your article technically falls into multiple categories, I don't see a problem with it being in multiple competitions. Also, since we have no way knowing which competitions are being planned (assuming there's a "master plan" for these sorts of things) you have no way of picking which competition to enter if you were allowed to only enter one. Finally, how do you define "best article". I think most people define it as something that they can use. Your extremely well-done article and code fit that qualification to a 'T' Cheers, Tom Archer Inside C#,

Perhaps when an article wins a competition, it becomes a member of the article "Hall of Fame" and is exempt from winning future competitions. This may encourage the person who won to continue innovating and write another great article. Kind regards, Tim
