I have also lived some years in Spain, and there people don't accept that you speak bad spanish. I usually compensate by speaking loud and accusing people of being stupid because they don't understand me. It usually works quite well. -jhaga on non-native languages

No tattoos here. Here's why I won't get them: :bob: They look ugly. :bob: They're expensive to remove if you change your mind. :bob: They fade as you get older, and look uglier. :bob: The tattoo artist could screw up. (Altohugh I say this just becuase i've been reading the Jump Start comic lately... :-D ) :bob: From a professional standpoint, if it is someplace obvious, it will make it tougher to get a job. Some places are accepting of that kind of stuff, but a lot aren't. :bob: Did I mention they're ugly? "When a man sits with a pretty girl for an hour, it seems like a minute. But let him sit on a hot stove for a minute and it's longer than any hour. That's relativity." - Albert Einstein

Here's my take on it, but this only applies to me - it's your choice. You only get one skin to wear your whole life. All in all, it's a durable garment, regenerating itself frequently to stay reasonably fresh and new... but if it gets stained, it's a bitch to get clean again. Decent leather jackets, on the other hand, are easily to replace. But then, i can't even go a year on one hairstyle.

No, I'm not talking about a little dude who followed a tall guy around an island saying "Yes boss". (Age check) :) I'm curious, how many of you all have tattoo's. I've been curious about getting one for a really long time. Now that I'm married, have 2 sons and am hoping to have a daughter for number three...I was looking into getting one. I've been looking into asian characters, and different phrases in japanese and/or chinese writing. They are very cool looking. For Example, the term "Father and Son" is two characters, and could easily be changed to father son and daughter. I've also been taking TaeKwonDo so, korean characters would have a double meaning. Do any of you have any ideas? Or, would you care to share any of your tattoo stories? Cheers, Frank "Keyboard Error - Press F1 to Continue"

Both my mother and my brother have tattoos and love them. My doctor has threatened to disown me if I join them. However, about asian characters - be sure you know what they mean:)

Similar to those temporary tattos for kids. Anyway, once the design is on your arm, all they have to do is color it in, which anyone with a steady hand can do. The temporary dye just washes off with water. I have thought about getting one but have recently gone right off the idea. They have become much too "common" for my tastes. There once was a time where having a tattoo was a statement but in many places now, NOT having a tattoo is a statement. Paul Hooper If you spend your whole life looking over your shoulder, they will get you from the front instead.

You have fallen from #29 to #421 in Paul's Book Of Geekish Respect listing. I hope you stop soon with this hairstyle thing so that I can bump you back up to your rightful place amongst the pizza stained, rumpled and non-styled hair wearers at the top.
