I was fooling around this weekend and came up with the start of a kind of interesting musical piece, albiet very incomplete. I'm thinking it'll be a bridge part out of a much larger piece. Figured I'd post what I have so far. Comments would be muchly apprecaited. EasyBeat [4KB, MIDI FORMAT] This also brings me to another interesting concept. Do any of you think it would be possible, not to mention interesting to write a program that would develop a purely random midi track based on a psuedo random number sequence? what I mean by this is is totally random patch selection, random note lengths and pitches. Just more for shits and giggles than anything. Personally I think that would be kind of cool. Post your comments, ideas, etc.

Nice :). Do be advised, however, that you may receive counter-opinions from the Pantera - Nine Inch Nails - Abuse-Dead-Puppies crowd here.

Well, needless to say this is way off the norm for me to write something in this genre anyways. I usually write alot more prog metal type stuff, so this is definately a changeup for me. Glad you like you. I appreciate someone taking the time to listen :-)

I'm afraid I've turned into a smooth jazz fan in my old age. I listen to folks like The Rippingtons, Eric Marienthal, Boney James, Candy Dulfer, (man the list is huge). I envy your ability to compose (and hopefully perform) music. Unfortunately my mother was stingy with the music genes (she plays piano), and I didn't even get a decent sense of pitch. All I got was a baritone voice that stays on key as long as there are enough other baritones around me :((. It's a good thing our priest at church has a nice voice in the same range as mine; I can follow him, and not convince any of the other parishoners that the anti-Christ is trying to throw things off.
