Its been a couple of minutes since New .NET is available. As if most of you guys dont already now that :) Of course your just giving yourselves enough time to download it. It felt like most people on the forum knew it was coming today, wonder how... Anyway I wanted to discuss some of the ramification though dont have time now and guess will leave it for another thread.

Found this link on the MSDN VS site: anyone been looking at http://www.vscodeswap.net/ Read through the Readme's too (left my MSDN details at home too) VS is feature complete, but they seem to have broken quite alot of stuff this time. http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/nextgen/beta2readme.exe. For obvious NDA reasons, I couldn't talk about beta2. If you've been using beta1 for a while and have written a decent amount of code, be prepared to make lots of changes :(

MSDN was one of the sites which blazed on my 33.6 dialup... now it seems totally jampacked with people trying to get in.:(( "A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one." - Senator Palpatine

Anybody got it down yet? The link looks like it could be for Visual Studio.NET  and not just the .NET SDK... Grab it before they fix it  : http://msvaus.www.conxion.com/download/visualstudionet/trial/2.0/w982kmexp/en-us/setup.exe Or is it the SDK? I'm in Atlanta, but no TechEd (or whatever the conference is) for me :( I'll have to wait for the beta2 to be shipped to me like Beta1... I've written two designable controls for the VS.NET environment - one makes pretty extensive use of the VS.NET IDE code model. Did that change much? I asked the product manager for the IDE and his reply was that there are only very few changes and they are minor enhancements. Therefore, you should be ok.

No, it's not just the SDK, it's the complete Visual Studio, including the SDK.
