Well, I'll be taking the 25th off. As I work for myself, I'll be spending the holiday season trying to resolve some business issues and seeing how best I can get some work for next year. Oh, I'll probably have the 31st off too and if all goes well, I'll be taking the 1st off too  Michael Snow is lying on the ground, and in the air the sleigh bells sound, The frosted patterned window panes, it's British summer time again. No, it's not, It's Christmas - Santa Claus in on the Dole (Spitting Image 1986)

In keeping with squeezing blood from a stone we close at lunchtime on Christmas eve. My friends back in the "Slowveld" couldn't believe it when I told them - they are mostly on holiday already . Worse still, it sounds like Brendan will only get off at around 4pm on Christmas eve. I wonder what the roads up to Scotland will be like at that time :~ .

I kinda used up all my vacation... and then some... already. So i'm just taking Christmas off, and one day on either side of it.

Not usually at Christmas, there may be a few traffic jams but they tend to be people heading to the airports and not heading out of town. Christmas holidays are very staggered, so you probably won't hit as much traffic as you would if it was a normal weekday. We'll see a rise in the number of drink/drive related accidents at this time of year, but that's usually on local roads not on motorways.
