any JAVASCRIPT FREE IDE??

hi... i am writing ASP.NET but i realised from the forums that JavaScript is an essential element in WEB-DEVELOPMENT.. so i want to learn to write javascript for the events of the controls.. like doin various stuff to controls(like getting an item selected etc) on events like on click etc.. now i have a quesion..when i do javascript in VS.NET, it doesnt show me help like pop up boxes when i put a lstBox. and things like that which it does when i am using VS.NET.. so i was wondering is there any FREE IDE that i could use to do JAVASCRIPT that will gimme help when i type and then i could paste it to the VS.NET.. also could you pls gimme some links to manipulate javascript for manipulating controls.. tks..
