Correct me if I am wrong but it is a British saying. Basically calling something "pants" means it is rubbish or crap. In fact pseudodictionary.com has a definition of it: pants When I was over in London a couple mates down at the pub said to this one bloke "Oi, you'r pants at football". Often used in conjunction with "taking the piss". Got to love those brits huh? regards, Paul Watson Cape Town, South Africa e: paulmwatson@email.com w: vergen.org

Yep, centainly is. As I was telling Christian, it refers in particular to a pair of Y-fronts. Its weird, despite being in London, my boss is from SA, two of the guys that work for me are as well. All in all, about half the department is. Giles

The only woman I know that talks like this is my ex-wife, and she has an excuse - she's fat and ugly and has no other recourse to gather attention than to cuss like a sailor.

Yes as Paul points out, it means something is not very good. Pants are in fact underwear. Y fronts to be exact. That Sarah did not like you did she. Giles

Not last time, not this time. It's funny how the whole thing played out almost to the letter exactly as it did before. I'd prefer to stop speculating though, don't want to fan the flames...
