You know everyone complains about Vista, but I like it. I've been running it since beta 2. Sure in the beginning my sound card (Creative Labs) wouldn't work and neither would my Samsung color laser printer. I bought a new sound card :) and eventually printer drivers were released for my laser, and I'm still using it. You have to keep one thing in mind when running Vista, you need a beast of a machine to make it work smooth. I have 4GB of mem and a Core 2 Duo 3GHz. The complete hardware build cost me 1500 for two idenitcal machines, one for me one for my wife. I ran Windows 7 the other day and it seemed to use just as much resources as Vista.

Yeah I like how you can see your previous search queries and links you visited however, as I've always said MS would be better just renting a GOOGLE search server and making money off of ads it puts on there. MS should stick to what it does/did best, Operating Systems. Google is by far the hands down winner when it comes to Web Search. One time I was on Live searching for "Arguments" for some code and got "Breast Augments".. That totally ate up the rest of my day, all those pictures, LOL....

I have a brother b/w laser that has lasted through a cross country move and regular use and it is over 4 years old. Model number HL4500 HL2040. I've been real happy with it. Never fails. I also have a Samsung color laser that is the size of a house and sits on my desk. I like that one too but it takes forever to start up. IMO stay away from ink jet if you plan to do a lot of printing. Lasers are more expensive up front but cost less to run and maintain.

Any one else getting a threat warning when you browse to the "Making programming certifications relevant in the real world" article in the code project email? Here's a screeny. Click here for image

There's no way on earth you'd find me in one of those Smart Cars but I'd love to own a Smorvette or any of these other Smart Car Kits. Http://www.carandsuv.co.nz/news/8125/smorvette-smerrari-or-smamborghini Too bad this isn't real, but sure would be cool...

I was just on my iGoogle homepage and they asked me to take a survey about how my experience is. So I figured I'd do it and was surprised to see that Googles survey (survey.google.com) is written in a .Net language. :wtf: URL is https://survey.google.com/wix/p1549654.aspx With Google being so anti-Microsoft and pro-open source I figured it'd be written in C, C++ or whatever language Google uses on a daily basis.

Oh just wait 'til Balmer springs "Minie Me" on us... that would be weird. :omg:
Oh man I love dream theatre... I saw them in concert in '94 and it was so loud I was deaf for the next two days.
What kind of music, if any, do you guys/gals listen to while coding. I prefer a couple: Anthrax Opeth Supertramp Steeley Dan Dire Straits CSNY "Weird Al" Based on my mood and the project I find it helps me stay focused and makes the day go by faster.
You're right however, I just tried it on one of my programs that is protected by .Net Reactor and I can see my form names as well as controls that I placed on the form. The problem comes when I try to view the code in my routines. .Net Reflector blows up and won't let me see anything, it just displays an error message. Now while this makes me feel better, I still don't like the fact that I can view my form names. It should be protected all the time and I will email .Net Reactor about this and see if they have a solution. Thanks for your input.
I've been happy with .Net Reactor. It's cheaper than most out there $179 per license or $279 for company. I've used it for the past six months and so far I've been happy with it. It has a NecroBit protection level which is propriatary to this software. I've tried all the de-obfuscators on my assemblies and none have been able to crack them.
