If u want to use only validation controls and doesn't want to use Javascript then u can do that using Frame work 2.0 It's a limitation in 1.1 since validation groups are not available in 1.1 "Every morning I check Forbes 40 richest Indians list , if i'm not there I go to work."

Yea I figure my PC specs should be good enough. But it doesn't seem so. HOwever, what does your "ok" means? As VS2005 can still function? Are u developing huge apps with it? Is it slow in opening pages or compiling? Does it crash often?

More information When my VS2005 is running slowly, I checked my Task Manager/Processes tab. And the devenv.exe was using up loads of memory. At some point in time it shot up to 1,000,000k!!!! It started of with around 200,000k and steadily went up Is that the reason why it runs so so so so slowly? But with 1Gb of Ram and 2.0Ghz processor I'm still baffled why it runs so slowly.

Not tried that. I think I just started a new project and tried out a loop. I've not really used C++ in anger under VC++ 7.1. Since .NET came out all the C++ work I've done has been under VC++ 6, or else I've been doing C#. Kevin
