Yeah, this is unbelievably lame. If someone thinks your post sucks, why would they waste even more time writing a response?

Hey, thats awesome that she is so excited about learning. I was totally like that too when I was 13 (still am, I guess..) I just know that I didnt like recieving awards because it was another chance for the kids to make fun of the "smart guy" for being a loser. Took me until college to not give dookie about that stuff..Kids are damn cruel. Thats awesome she can be proud of her achievements like that. You done good! hehe. -dork

Roger Allen wrote: So why do TV/Movie makers get to put their names all over the credits then? Because it is an accepted (and necessary) part of the entertainment industry. Almost everyone involved in the entertainment industry works as a single unit, shuffling between companies, and working to "make a name" for themselves. Movies/TV rely on big NAME actors to promote and make the successful. This is not the case for most software. When a company puts out a product, that product is from THE COMPANY, not each individual working for the company. Your credit is in the fact that you produced a final pruduct with a group of people. Besides, when is the last time you saw an easter eggs in a movie? Go take an ethics class and read your companies code of conduct and mission statements. -dork

I think you should make it your goal to answer those questions apart from finding a job at MS. Don't you think its more important to be able to answer those questions and know that you are a good developer and are proud of what you have achieved, instead of trying to just work for MS. I think you need to look at what you really want out of life...More generic goals are more achievable and more rewarding. For instance, instead of: "I want to work for Microsoft.", I would make it, "I want a degree in Comp Sci and I want to have fun doing it (which may include extra curricular activities.)"...everything else will work itself out. I kept having this pinpoint ideas of what I wanted out of life..in 6 mo, 2 years, 4 years, etc...and I kept finding that my goals and ideas changed and what I finally ended up with was something completely different..and something I was very happy with. I realized my initial goals were too specific and absurd. So, now I just go with the flow and let things ride. It makes life a lot less stressful and a lot more fun. Thats just my two cents. -dork

I have to agree with the other guys..Sounds like your only option right now is prostitution. D dorkshoe

What??!?! You're on crack. Sure, it didn't follow everything closely..Thats impossible! But, the general storyline was almost dead on (except a few added love scenes that could really be implied from the book) and a few other small things. But overall, the movie followed the book very well. EVERYONE I have talked to who read the book believes that. The second book, however, just throws crazy stuff out there. Frodo and Sam in Osgoliath?? HUH!? That never happened! Man, you are on crack. You should go read the series again...or stick to illustrated kids books.... -dork

I was a little disappointed. It did not follow the book as closely as the first movie did. A LOT of what happened in the movie was fabricated..and that kinda took away from my overall enjoyment. -dork ps: also annoying : too many damn closeups! Back the camera up, Peter!
